AO (Generalist): You need a Bachelor’s degree in any field from a recognized university or a similar qualification.
AO (Hindi Officer): You should have a Postgraduate degree in Hindi where English was studied at the graduation level, or a Postgraduate degree in English where Hindi was studied at the graduation level.
OCIL Recruitment 2025 Salary Details
The basic salary is Rs.50,925/-, which is part of the pay scale of Rs.50,925-2,500(14)-85,925-2,710(4)-96,765, along with other allowances that are applicable. Right now, the total salary including all the allowances is around Rs.85,000/- per month in metropolitan centers. Other benefits like pension under the New Pension System managed by PFRDA, gratuity, Leave Travel Concession, medical benefits, and group personal accident insurance are given according to the rules. Officers are also provided with company-owned or leased accommodation as per the set norms.

OCIL Recruitment 2025 Selection Process
Phase-I: Preliminary Examination (Applicable for both Generalist and Hindi Officer) The Preliminary Examination consists of Objective Tests worth 100 marks and will be conducted online.
Phase – II: Main Examination
Descriptive Test: The descriptive test will last for 30 minutes and is worth 30 marks.
It will be a Test of English Language, including an Essay worth 20 marks and a Précis worth 10 marks. The test will be in English and will be conducted online.
Objective Test: The Objective Test will last for 2 hours.
There will be separate timing for each section. Five minutes before the exam starts, candidates will be given time to write the text in the space provided on the call letter.
